Ingredients
16 ounces brown sugar 1 1/2 sticks of butter
2 eggs
2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (pecan preferred)
Directions
Melt together butter and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Cool slightly. Add eggs, then flour and mix well. Spread in greased 9 x 13” pan and bake 35 minutes in a preheated 350 oven.
Test by poking in a wooden skewer or thin knife in the center. If it comes out gooey, cook longer, if it comes out clean, it’s ready.
It’s quick, easy, and the pieces on the edges are the best.
